NC ABLE Program
Financial Program for Individuals with Disabilities
The NC ABLE Program is designed to help North Carolina residents with disabilities save for qualified expenses while maintaining eligibility for public benefits like Medicaid and SSI. This program allows individuals with disabilities, who acquired their condition before age 26, to open tax-advantaged accounts. These accounts can be used for a variety of disability-related expenses, such as education, healthcare, and housing. The NC ABLE Program aims to promote financial independence without sacrificing access to essential public services.
